The Office of International Programs promotes international education at IU South Bend and strives to foster international understanding and awareness on campus and within the community.

International programs sponsors a minor and a certificate in International Studies and helps to coordinate and promote world language and area study programs.  See more

Overseas Programs

International Programs coordinates faculty-led overseas study to many parts of the globe, three semester exchange programs, and can assist with students who wish to participate in any of over 70 IU overseas study experiences. Many students are surprised at how many overseas study opportunities are offered at IU South Bend.  They are also targeted toward varying lengths of time and budgets, created with time- and cash-strapped IU South Bend students in mind. A World of Opportunities

Student Exchange Programs provide students with the chance to live and study with host-country students while taking classes at a partner university in Germany, Northern Ireland, and France. See more.

IU’s Office of Overseas Study facilitates the study abroad experiences of more than 1,500 students on all eight IU campuses. You can choose from 70 overseas programs in 15 languages and in 31 countries. Contact the Office of Overseas Study for more information.

International Student Services

The Office of International Student Services (OISS) is the first stop for international students and scholars interested in studying and teaching at IU South Bend. International Student Organization (ISO)

The ISO’s chief purposes are to promote awareness for a multicultural campus, to educate fellow students through sharing cultural diversity, and encourage interaction between members and the community. The ISO also offers social and cultural opportunities to Indiana University South Bend’s international students.
